In terms of shape, the suspensory ligaments of the breast run vertically to the mammary gland tissue, connecting the mammary gland below and the skin above, like the ropes of a tent, lifting the breast.

To strengthen the pectoral muscles, it's best to do some simple stretching exercises. The most basic movement is the pectoral muscle lift with both hands.

The method is as follows: Clasp your hands together (like in prayer), slowly raise them from your chest to above your head, stretching upwards as much as possible. If they are stretched for a long time, they will lengthen, making the breasts prone to sagging. If the breasts are properly supported and the suspensory ligaments are not subjected to excessive tension, they will tighten and support the breasts.

To care for the suspensory ligaments of the breast, the following points should be observed:

First, avoid using excessively hot water to shower the breasts. Hot water softens the connective tissue (connective tissue includes muscles, tendons, elastin, etc.), weakening their lifting effect. However, alternating between hot and cold water can be a good way to strengthen the elasticity of the suspensory ligaments.

Second, choose a bra that fits well. For women, the bra is the most intimate item for the breasts; most women wear bras for more than ten hours a day. Therefore, the bra has the greatest impact on the breast's supporting tissues. When wearing a bra, it should fit comfortably. It shouldn't be too tight, causing a feeling of constriction, nor too loose, failing to provide adequate support.

Women with larger breasts should ensure their bras provide sufficient support to prevent stretching of the suspensory ligaments due to the weight of the breasts. This is especially important during strenuous exercise, as unsupported breasts can cause significant movement and strain on the suspensory ligaments. Sports bras offer better support and care than regular bras; therefore, it's best to choose a properly sized sports bra for exercise.

One point that women might overlook is that breast size doesn't remain constant physiologically. I recommend having several bras in slightly different sizes to adjust as your breasts change.

Thirdly, massage your breasts regularly. Massage is essentially a "micro-training" for the suspensory ligaments. There are many massage methods. You can use your shower time to perform circular or lifting massage motions on your breasts to stimulate blood circulation and help shape them.

It's also important to maintain a regular sleep schedule to ensure good breast shape. Because breasts are a woman's secondary sexual characteristic, their health and appearance are closely related to the endocrine system. Irregular sleep patterns can lead to endocrine disorders, affecting breast growth and development and interfering with their metabolic cycle.
